Lex Ludica welcomes analyses from researchers, practitioners and video game professionals. Here is what we expect and how the review works.
What we publish
- Analysis: 1,200 to 2,500 words, a specific question addressed with the rigour of a discipline.
- Crossed perspectives: two authors from different disciplines on the same subject.
- Case comment: 800 to 1,500 words on a recent decision relevant to video games.
Our requirements
- A clear angle, stated from the introduction.
- Verifiable sources, cited in footnotes according to the conventions of your discipline.
- A text accessible to an educated reader who is not a specialist.
- An original text, or one for which you hold the publication rights.
How it works
- 1Proposal: a short summary, the target category and your background.
- 2Angle approval by the editorial team, within about a week.
- 3Writing, at your own pace.
- 4Review by the editorial team.
- 5Publication once the final version is agreed and the rights assignment is signed.
